Spring Hill Senior Living Announces Expansion of Memory Care Services in Two Washington State Locations
Vancouver, WA - May 31, 2007In response to the growing need to serve those afflicted with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, Spring Hill Senior Living, a western United States regional senior living organization with headquarters in Vancouver, Washington has announced plans to expand its memory care services by adding housing units, services and programs to its Shelton and Normandy Park, Washington locations.
The Shelton, Washington location, Maple Glen Senior Living, will include a 14-16-bed free standing memory care community with all private rooms except two semi-privates. Normandy Park Senior Living in Normandy Park, Washington will expand to a 24-26-bed free standing memory care community with all private rooms except 4 semi-privates. Expansion plans include state-of-the-art technology and interior design to support resident needs and care.
Spring Hill Senior Living Memories will be the cornerstone of services. According to Diane Hill, RN, Vice President of Resident Services, "Our program is designed to recognize the uniqueness of the individual and identify the true care path of each so we can maximize the resident's abilities and bring meaning and fulfillment through committed human interaction complemented by past and present living memories. This is only accomplished successfully through daily life highlights that stimulate a reaction or response." Spring Hill Senior Living Memories services at each new community will be managed by a full-time Memory Care Program Director and have program-dedicated staff.
"Spring Hill's commitment," says Ronnie Cook, Chief Executive Officer, "is to give our residents and families choice services that allow us to guide residents through a difficult journey and give our families the options that enhance their lives as well. We are excited to bring our Spring Hill Senior Living Memories to the Shelton and Normandy Park communities in Washington State."
